Sulle targhe automobilistiche della Nova Scotia, sotto alla sagoma azzurra di un veliero, campeggia la scritta “Canada’s Ocean Playground” e queste tre paroline bastano da sole a raccontarci la bellezza incontaminata di questo Paese fatta di foreste e mare, baie selvagge e solitarie ed infinite distese di sabbia candida.
Un posto perfetto per incontrare l’Oceano è il Parco Naturale di Kejimkujik Seaside.

Percorrendo i sentieri che si snodano attraverso la densa macchia profumata, si arriva a scoprire un susseguirsi di incantevoli mezzelune di sabbia argentea lambite da acque color turchese, dove le foche si scaldano al sole e nidificano i charadrius melodus ed altre rare specie di uccelli marini.
Qui si può trascorrere la giornata facendo il bagno (l’acqua è molto meno gelida di quello che potete immaginare!), osservando la fauna marina dalle terrazze d’osservazione, prendendo il sole o facendo un picnic a base di delizie gastronomiche locali: salmone marinato, piccoli frutti e birra artigianale in primis.
La birra in Nova Scotia è considerata una cosa molto seria e, deliziosi gadget tematici a parte, ogni #beerlovers che si rispetti non potrà fare a meno di entusiasmarsi per le molte birre artigianali di qualità prodotte nel Paese, che potrete scoprire anche a distanza, curiosando sul sito della Craft Brewers Association of Nova Scotia!

You can hike through a labyrinth of dense shrubs until the shoreline, where a shining crescent of sand with turquoise waters will enchant your eyes.
Here the seals basking on off-shore islets and the piping plovers have one of the last undisturbed nesting beaches.
You can spend the day swimming, sunbathing and enjoying the spectacle of marine life, and you can also have a tasteful picnic with local delights: marinated salmon, berries and craft beer.
